I was asked to do a custom order for a friend’s wedding anniversary. The traditional gift for a 6th year anniversary is something made of iron. So a kimber element was the perfect gift, if I do say so myself. My jewelry is made out of steel, which is basically iron (to be precise, a certain proportion of iron carbon, between 0.2% and 2.1%, produces steel, which is1000 times harder than pure iron).
We designed a necklace made out of 18 gauge mild steel wire that was shaped into multiple infinity symbols. Each piece was hand forged to make them organic and irregular. We were was pleased with how it turned out. Happy Anniversary!
