repetition

linx process

My inspiration for the linx is my affinity for repetition of small elements. To make the links of the chain I hand forged 30 pieces of 18 gauge mild steel wire. Each piece of wire is hammered flat on the top and bottom. Since this makes the steel thinner it makes it easier to curl the ends. The ends are curled in oposite directions, then curled again in oposite directions. Then the links are attached together.
